Specialization: (i) main field – immunology (ii) other fields: transplantology, gerontology (iii) current research interest – physiology and clinical application of CD25+CD4+ T regulatory cells, experimental transplantation and tolerance induction, transplantation immunology, ageing and immunity, studies upon novel immunomodulatory and immunosuppressive drugs,
Skills: strong background in flow cytometry and cell sorting, immunohistochemistry and bioimaging, microplate tests (bioassays, arrays, ELISA, toxicity, proliferation tests, etc.), animal models of transplantation, basics in molecular biology and immunohistochemistry, basics in histopathology slide interpretation
Current responsibilities: coordination and/or work in scientific grants, histology and immunology courses for pregraduate and postgraduate medical students (medicine - year IV and V, diagnostic laboratory medicine – year II and IV), supervision of MSc and PhD works for biology and biotechnology students, postgraduate courses in immunology for laboratory and clinical staff training towards medical immunology speciality, lectures for the universities of the third age and during science festivals
